- 2-8w after exposure to the culprit medication
- Severe systemic and cutaneous reaction to a medication, eruption occurs 2-8w after exposure
- Can cause severe dysfxn in liver, kidneys, lungs, GI tract, heart, endocrine systems and progresses rapidly
- Fever, chills, malaise, adenopathy
- Rare mucosal involvement
- Erythematous patches that quickly become confluent, affecting large areas of body
- Edematous and sometime purpuric
- Can have blisters and pustules
