Can be difficult to know when to test or implicate biochemical thrombophilia
Consider if: DVT occurs w/weak or no provoking RFs, young age (<50), strong family hx (first degree relatives), clots in unusual places (mesenteric or cerebral veins)
Anti-phospholipid antibody provokes both arterial and venous clots)
