  • Idiopathic increased ICP

Risk Factors

  • Teens-to-30s
  • Female
  • Obesity

Symptoms

  • Unremitting HA
  • Dull or throbbing
  • Fluctuates in severity
  • Develops over weeks to mos
  • Can be occipital or asymmetric
  • Can be similar to tension or migraine HA
  • Sometimes assoc w/blurred vision or progressive visual loss
  • Somtimes diplopia

Physical Exam Findings

  • Papilledema
  • Sometimes visual field loss
  • Sometimes CN6 palsy
