- Age > 60 and traditional CV risk factors
- Loss of memory and functionality
- Deficits can relate to areas of infarct (e..g motor, sensory, gait, cognitive, etc.)
- May progress abruptly in concert w/known strokes
- Or more slowly from chronic ischemia
- Sometimes emotional lability
- Can co-mingle w/Alzheimers dz
- Cognitive impairment
- Deficits in motor function, gait based on site(s) of ischemia/infarct
