Etiology

  • Associated w/exposure to meds

Symptoms

  • Single or multiple puritic or burning plaques, in response to drug exposure
  • Sometimes blisters
  • Can be recurrent, in which case often appear in same place
  • Occurs w/in minutes to hours of exposure, resolve in ~1 w

Physical Exam Findings

  • Can blister
  • Most commonly lips, hands, oral mucosa, genitalia
  • Red to purplish plaques
  • Often target-like
  • Crusting and scale w/healing
  • Often post-inflam hyperpigmentation
