- Part of a spectrum that starts w/erythema multiform and ends w/TEN
- Acute, painful, blistering erruption that affects skin and mucous membranes
- Fever, sore throat, dysphagia, dysuria, feeling generally ill
- Spectrum d/o, where SJS mild (< 10% body surface area)→ TEN severe (>30% body surface area
- TEN associated w/systemic effects→ low bp, confusion, target organ dysfxn
- Onset 4-21d after receiving inciting med
- Painful, erythematous patches to bullae and epidermo-necrosis
- Affects eyes and mucosal surfaces
