  • Myocardium--> myocarditis
  • Pericardium--> pericarditis

Symptoms

  • Vessicles in mouth and hands and soles, which appear 1-2d after fever onset
  • Typically self limited, acute, febrile illness
  • W/cardiac involvement chest pain, sob
  • In kids f, malaise, irritability, wont eat/drink w/oral involvement

Physical Exam Findings

  • F
  • Vessicles most commonly in mouth, hands and soles
  • Vessicles can also appear on genitalia, buttocks, elbows and knees
