- Non-Small Cell: 85-90% of lung cancer; Typically adenocarcinoma (40%), squamous cell (25-30%), and large cell (5-10%)
- Small Cell: 10-15% of lung cancer
- Most common RF is tobacco smoking
- Other Rfs include asbestos exposure, environmental smoke, ionizing radiation, radon, marijuana/hookah
- 25% of lung ca (typically adeno) occurs w/no smoking hx
- Cough
- Sob/doe
- Chest pain
- Hemoptysis
- Hoarseness
- Weight loss
- F
- Sweats
- Other organs if mets at presentation→ brain, liver, spinal cord, etc.
- May have auscultatory findings if involves enough parenchyma
- Wheezing if affects large airway
- Findings associated with effusion if advanced
