- Meds: many - in particular anti-depressants, anabolic steroid abuse
- Chronic medical conditions: renal & liver disease, anemia, hypothyroidism, etc
- For medication related, try to linking timing of onset ED to initiation of medication
- Assess for other symptoms related to underlying chronic medical conditions
