Pemphigus Foliaceous

Etiology

  • Autoimmune disorder leading to disruption of cellular adhesion in the superficial epidermis

Risk Factors

  • 50s-60s

Symptoms

  • Blisters which rupture very easily and erosions
  • Does not involve mucous membranes

Physical Exam Findings

  • Flaccid blisters and superficial erosions
  • Erosions can be scaly and crusted
