Symptoms

  • Asymmetric
  • Typically hx psoriasis first (precedes joint sx by ~10y)
  • Joint pain and swelling affecting multiple peripheral joints
  • Lbp and sacroiliitis common
  • Can affect up to 30% of those w/psoriasis

Physical Exam Findings

  • Red, warm, pain w/movement of joint
  • Dactylitis→ finger/toe swelling
  • Enthesiitis→ tendon insertion pain/swelling, uveitis, finger nail pitting and/or onycholysis, skin findings of psoriasis
