- Most are anterior w/humeral head displaced forward out of GH joint
- Requires significant force posterior→ anterior
- Exam w/deformity and extreme pain, no range of motion
- Person will often be holding arm w/opposite hand
- Can be recurrent
- Risk axillary nerve injury→ lateral numbenss, deltoid weakness
