Chronic advanced liver disease for any reason can cause fatigue
Causes of chronic liver disease (resulting in cirrhosis) include): Alcohol induced, chronic hepatitis B, chronic hepatitis C, NASH, autoimmune hepatitis, other or combinations
All causes of cirrhosis can lead to portal hypertension and bleeding, with resultant anemia contributing to fatigue; can also have hypo-proliferative anemia
Physical Exam Findings
May have findings of chronic liver disease including: jaundice, icterus, ascites, edema, encephalopathy, muscle loss
