Risk Factors

  • Age > 60
  • Esrd
  • Aortic stenosis
  • Von Willebrand's dz
  • Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), Aortic stenosis--> associated with acquired von Willebrand's dz


  • Painless
  • Bleeding is intermittent
  • Not always identifiable on endoscopy
