  • Hesitancy
  • Incomplete emptying, w/need to void again soon after
  • Decreased force of stream
  • Difficulty starting and stopping urination
  • Sometimes incontinence
  • Tends to be chronic and progressive

Physical Exam Findings

  • May have diffusely enlarged prostate
  • Rarely palpable bladder (severe, chronic retention)
