  • Widespread throughout subtropics→ Africa, Central & South America, India, Mediterranean basin, Asia, Middle East

Symptoms

  • Cutaneous: papule→ nodule→ painless raised & indurated ulcers that don't heal over weeks to months
  • Visceral: can be silent, or cause fevers, sweats, chills, weight loss, adenopathy, organomegaly

Physical Exam Findings

  • Papule→ nodule→ painless raised & indurated ulcers that don't heal over weeks to months
  • Visceral→ fever, weight loss, adenopathy, organomegaly
