Etiology

  • Assoc w/autoimmune dz→ sarcoid, behcet's dz
  • Malignancy→ lymphoma
  • Infxn→ toxo, CMV, brucellosis, HSV, VZV, secondary syphillis, TB
  • Often idiopathic

Symptoms

  • Often painful
  • Photophobia
  • Decreased vision

Physical Exam Findings

  • Decreased acuity
  • May not have external inflammatory findings unless pan-uveitis
  • Other findings assoc w/underlying dz
