Risk Factors

  • Age 5-20

Symptoms

  • Fever
  • Acute onset
  • Throat pain
  • Absence of cough

Physical Exam Findings

  • Palpable LN
  • Exudate & reddness
  • Palatal petechiae
  • Sometimes scarletina rash→ erythematous, macular, starts on neck, underarms, groin→ spreads and develops papules/sandpaper-like feel
