- HIV + and cd4 < 200
- Prolonged steroid use
- Cough (typically dry)
- SOB and DOE, usually develop sub-acutely (weeks)
- Spectrum of illness - mild to severe (tachycardia, tachypnea, decreased O2 sat)
- Lung findings of crackles
- CXR with characteristic bilateral, diffuse, interstitial findings
- Sputum (induced or via BAL if cant get sample) + on silver stain for PJP
- LDH usually elevated, Beta-D Glucan +
