Symptoms

  • Telangiectasias
  • Tends to affect distal parts of body→ hands, feet, face
  • Sob from plum htn
  • Slower progression compared w/dcSSc
  • GERD, which can lead to Barretts (and cancer), scarring; also dysphagia
  • Skin tightening/thickened fingers
  • Raynauds→ finger hypo perfusion and pain in cold
  • Calcium deposits in sub-cu
  • Arthralgias and myalgias; other internal organs spared

Physical Exam Findings

  • Telangiectasias
  • Raynauds → fingers blanch/hurt when exposed to cold temp
  • Skin thickening/tightness
  • Elevated JVP, edema, loud P2, other findings of plum htn
