- Disorder of inappropriate bone remodeling, leads to pain, weakened/bowed long bones, easy fracture, increased risk bone cancer
- Slowly progressive multi-site bone pain
- Many are asymptomatic
- Common bones are skull, thorax and lumbar spine, femur
- Pain is usually a progressive deep ache that can be worse at night
- Increased risk fracture
- Also hearing loss w/skull involvement
- While typically chronic can have acute symptoms with fracture
