- Non-atherosclerotic arteriolar disease linked to smoking, though precise etiology unknown
- Age onset often 40s (can be older)
- Non-healing, progressive, painful ulcers of hands, sometime feet
- Affects veins as well, causing thrombophlebitis in some
- Sometimes claudication if affects legs
- Progressive ulcers
- Can become gangresnous
- Typically multiple digits, more than one extremity
- Distal pulses (e.g. radial) typically palpable
