- Toxins: Lead, opiate withdrawal, other
- Often generalized symptoms
- Pain variable in terms of severity
- Sometimes diarrhea/constipation/flatus
- Onset typically times w/start of treatment if meds
- If toxins, symptoms may not be present until levels cross a threshold
