- Hepatitis B: Typically causes acute sx, which can take mos to resolve; chronic hep B doesn't typically cause sx unless/until cirrhosis or HCC develop
- Hepatitis C: Doesn't typically cause acute sx; Becomes clinically apparent if/when cirrhosis or HCC develops
