Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

Etiology

  • Most common acute leukemia in kids
  • In adults represents 20% of acute leukemias

Risk Factors

  • Adults→ male, hx prior radiation or chemo, > age 70, Down's syndrome

Symptoms

  • Fatigue
  • Sob
  • Weakness
  • Fever
  • Sweats
  • Easy bruising/bleeding

Physical Exam Findings

  • Palor
  • Petechiae
  • Echymoses
  • Hepatomegaly
  • Splenomegaly
  • Sometimes adenopathy
