Tests
- Brain based visual loss typically causes visual field cuts, based on where the brain lesion is located. Here are a few classic patterns:
- 1. Compression at optic chiasm (e.g. pituitary mass) causes bitemporal hemianopa.
- 2. Process affecting the visual cortex (e.g. stroke, tumor) cause homonymous hemianopia.
