Etiology

  • Remnant from thyroid migration from tongue to neck

Symptoms

  • Long standing
  • Sometimes increase in size

Physical Exam Findings

  • Anterior/midline neck
  • Non-tender unless infected
  • Move w/swallowing & sticking out tongue
  • Anywhere from base of tongue to thyroid area
