  • Stimulant abuse→ cocaine, systemic illness→ acute PE, CHF, pericarditis, valvular heart dz, systemic infxn, COPD exacerbation, hypoxemia, anemia, post-op
  • Hyperthyroidism, sleep apnea

Physical Exam Findings

  • Can be regular
  • Rate often ~150
